Canberra

Canberra is the capital of Australia and has a population of around 356,600. A special feature of the city is its structure and construction, which is shaped by the designer Walter Burley Griffin. He won an international design competition in 1912 and made Canberra a garden city. Lake Burley Griffin and strictly geometrically laid out green areas were created, which give the city a unique appearance and give it a special charm.

Canberra is the seat of Parliament. It is located on "Capital Hill" and is characterized by an imposing entrance hall.

There is a lot to do in Canberra: The mountains and the Canberra bushland offer ideal conditions for numerous outdoor activities (horse riding, bush walks, hot air balloon rides, etc.).

Canberra is called "The 20 minute city" by its residents because everything is close together in the city. Numerous cozy cafes and bars invite you to meet friends in many corners.
